AquaComply helps small water systems manage compliance schedules, maintenance records, maps, and state reports. This policy describes what the app does — and does not do — with your information.
What you enter — water system records, assets, work orders, schedules, documents, and photos — is stored in a database on your own device. The app works offline. We do not receive, view, or collect these records. Because they are kept on your device, they are lost if the device is lost or reset or the app's storage is cleared. Use Backup & Restore regularly and keep the backup somewhere else.
A few features need to ask a server for something. When you use them, the app sends only what that feature needs:
Our server passes these requests along and does not keep a database of them. Like any web server, our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs (such as the time and address of a request).
If you turn on Cloud Sync in Settings (it is off by default), your water system data is stored with our sync provider, Dexie Cloud, so it can be shared across your devices and with people you invite. Signing in uses your email address and a one-time code; no password is stored. Synced data is used only to provide the sync service and is not sold or shared with anyone else. It is kept until you delete it or ask us to. You can delete your cloud account yourself in the app (Settings, Cloud Sync, Delete my account), or ask us to do it: see how to delete your account. Deleting the account erases the cloud copy of water systems you have not shared. A water system you shared with other people stays with them; you are removed from it.
The app asks the person responsible for each water system to enter their name, title and, for an operator, certificate details, and to type their name as a signature. People also type their name to review and adopt procedures and to sign forms. These are saved in that water system's records on your device, and in your cloud account if sync is on, so the system has a record of who signed.
If you use a "Get GPS" button or place assets on the map, the app reads your device location at that moment to record the coordinates you asked for. Location is saved only into your own records and is never transmitted to us.
The camera is used to scan asset tags and to take photos you choose to attach. Photos are stored inside the app's database on your device (and in your cloud account if sync is on). The app does not access your photo library beyond the pictures you choose.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are processed by Apple or Google. We do not see or store your payment details.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
